We have a toolkit to support primary care called the DAMN toolkit that helps team review, measure and monitor improvement in areas such as prescribing processes.

All our improvement work is underpinned by the NHS Change model to ensure we deliver evidence based sustainable change.

I didn't think that I'd get much out of this programme but it's been brilliant and given me lots of ideas, I really enjoyed it!

Who are we

Our Team

DAMN Partnerships are a team of system leaders with both clinical and management backgrounds. We have extensive experience of working within the healthcare system in the South West of England. Our team has worked in secondary and primary care whilst also in community pharmacy, working in roles at a strategic and operational level. We all have a strong understanding of quality improvement and change management.

  • Aidan Laverty

    Clinical Practice Pharmacist Lead

    Aidan has worked across community pharmacy and primary care sectors, as well as health informatics. His interests include improving the efficiency of prescribing, implementing robust and safe medication monitoring solutions and developing integrated systems to improve patient access to health care. Utilising his experience across sectors Aidan brings a wealth of knowledge to facilitate both clinical and process driven improvements for DAMN guided organisations.

  • Neil Parsons

    Strategic and Practice Management

    Neil has worked extensively in general practice in a practice management role, but also strategically at a Primary Care Network level. Neil has worked in turnaround roles supporting general practice with resilience and sustainability and is trained to deliver Productive General Practice quality improvement techniques. Neil was voted NAPC Manager at Scale for his work in East Cornwall Primary Care Home in 2018.

  • Dave Bearman

    Community Pharmacist Lead

    David has worked for several major companies across a number of sectors healthcare construction and banking. He has held senior roles in a wide variety of job contexts project management, systems leadership, procurement, marketing, strategy development and business improvement. In these roles has delivered several major change projects involving organisational and market change. Currently the Pharmacy Local Professional network chair for the Southwest the strategic lead for the local pharmaceutical committee an pharmacy lead for the South West AHSN and Clinical research network. David has a broad range of experience and history of delivering effective change programmes in particular in supporting organisations to work collaboratively to enhance outcomes.

  • Michael Lennox

    Clinical Pharmacist

    Michael has 35 years leadership and operational experience within the pharmacy and wider primary and secondary care healthcare sectors both in the Southwest and Nationally. This has included leading, coaching and mentoring senior business development teams, working with corporate Boards and Execs to develop organisational strategies and operational plans. As a qualified pharmacist, Michael has excellent and a highly-detailed understanding of community pharmacy, the NHS and the development and delivery of healthcare products and services. Michael has national roles within community pharmacy, Primary Care and integrated system development allowing him to apply his diverse and extensive skills-base in people leadership as well as customer-facing business operational and development arenas.
